Golden Trowel Award Feb 5th, 2014
In recognition of outstanding service to Gray Lodge, the Golden Trowel Committee proudly nominated Past Master, Randall Slinkard. The presentation will be at our February Stated Meeting on the 5th.
Over the years, Brother Slinkard has shown unwavering dedication to the Craft and to Gray Lodge, particularly reflected in his contribution and service as Worshipful Master, his instrumental role in the erection of Gray Lodge, his commitment as Building Manager, and his love, modesty and tender manner to the Craft and his Brethren.
Brother Slinkard’s leadership was essential in design and construction oversight of our beautiful new building. Isn’t that him in the gray jacket directing excavation? If not, he’s the one taking the picture. He was there every step of the way.
Randall’s unheralded contributions was crucial in handling the financial burdens of the early years in the new building, even to the point of reaching in to his own pockets and digging deep. The photo above with Brother Marvin Zindler was taken at one of the many fundraisers & benefit gala’s Randall organized. Below “An Evening with Mozart” was another great success. Brother Randall would insist these are not his events, but they were team efforts borne upon the shoulders of many. Maybe so, but they would never have been without him.
Randall Slinkard was initiated in to Gray Lodge August 8th, 2001, passed October 16, 2001, and raised December 1st, 2001. He served as Master of the Lodge in 2004-2005
