CHARLES S. MARSTON
15th Master, 1885-1886

Information concerning the birth and early life of Charles S. Marston is not available. He was 25 years of age and a clerk when he petitioned Holland Lodge No.1 for the degrees in 1869. He received the three degrees as follows: 1º July 31, 2º September 26 and 3º November 17, 1869.

He was a charter member of Gray Lodge and served as the first Junior Deacon in 1870 and again in 1871. He was Senior Deacon in 1872. He was Senior Warden in 1884-1885 and Master in 1885-1886. He was Grand Junior Steward of the Grand Lodge of Texas in 1884-1885.

According to the Houston City Directory of 1873, one of the business firms of Houston was Brinsmade & Marston. He died April 20, 1896, and was buried in Glenwood Cemetery with Masonic rites by Gray Lodge.
