Worshipful Master David Cousins

Email: master@gray329.org

The first child of Ray and Patricia Cousins, David was born in Houston, Texas on February 26, 1965. Soon thereafter the Cousins family grew to include a younger brother, John, and a little sister, Rebecca. In 1971, the Cousins claimed Tomball as their new home and David is proud to still call Tomball home, even through his family unit has evolved to include his beautiful bride, Christie, and their six children: Amber, Amanda, Taylor, Ashley, Joshua, and Morgan.

When David graduated from Tomball High School, he immediately followed his father into a technical career in the field of Land Survey. After 26 years as a committed employee with a prestigious local firm, David was rewarded for his hard work and dedication with an opportunity to become Vice President with a young survey company in the private sector where he has helped the small firm flourish with unexpected growth and expansion.

The Cousins family have deep Masonic roots. His uncle, grandfather, as well as his grandfather's father before him were all Master Masons and officers in their respective lodges. His late grandmother, whose memory David honors, helped interest David in Masonry, having been a member of the Eastern Star for over 30 years. However, it was not until he married and met his grandfather-in-law, John Anderson, that David was finally drawn to Gray Lodge and began his Masonic journey.

In June 2005 David Ray Cousins was initiated as an Entered Apprentice and was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on November 19, 2005.

David has served the lodge in the capacity of Junior Steward, Senior Deacon, Junior Warden, and Senior Warden and is also a member of Washington Chapter No. 2, Houston Council No. 1, and Ruthven Commandery No. 2 in the York Rites and of the Order of the Eastern Star, Bluebell Chapter #856.

Although his journey has begun in earnest, life has taught him that it has certainly only just begun.

  Next: Senior Warden
