The only child of Vernon and Betty Reaves, Randon grew up in the
Memorial area of Houston. Upon graduating from Spring Branch High School,
Randon immediately entered the United States Army where he proudly served
in the 2nd Bn 5th Cav, 1st Air Cavalry Division. During his time with the
1st Air Cavalry, the helicopter warfare techniques that are so popular
today were developed at Ft. Benning, Ga.
After his military service he attended South Texas Jr. College and The
University of Houston. He spent 35 years as a mechanical engineer in the
Offshore Subsea industry participating in many pioneering deep water
drilling and production projects culminating in his forming his own company
twice, both of which he sold to Norwegian owners. For the last 8 years of
his engineering career Randon managed the Norwegian companies.
After leaving the engineering field Randon entered the Real Estate
industry as an investor, accumulating and managing his own portfolio of
investment properties. As a Real Estate sales agent Randon has for the last
eight years been consistently in the top tier of Real Estate agents in
Houston and has earned many awards and designations.
Randon was raised a Master Mason in Gray Lodge and is a member of
Washington Chapter No 2, Houston Council No 1, Ruthven Commandry, Arabia
Shrine and Tranquility Lodge No 2000. He is entering this year as Worthy
Patron for the second time, of Bluebell # 856 Chapter, Order of the Eastern
Star.
Randon was one of the founding members and has served in several
capacities including President and Chairman of the Board of The Houston
Masonic Library Foundation.
